our sunday supper menu:
course 1: roasted beet and carrot salad with cumin vinaigrette and crumbled feta
course 2: sautéed sea bass with shaved summer squash salad, heirloom romano beans and cucumber yogurt
OR grilled lamb skewer with tomato-potato gratin, black olives and cherry tomato brown butter
course 3: watermelon coupe with lime sherbet, basil caramel and macadamia nut tuille
lucques has yet to fail me. this was my third time dining at suzanne goin's restaurant, and it was probably the best experience thus far. the lamb was so succulent. it simply melted in your mouth.
to top off a delicious meal, we saw suzanne goin... drive off in her bmw. :) plus we were dining next to meredith baxter from Family Ties.
next week, i get to try alice water's chez panisse cafe in berkeley (where suzanne goin worked in the early 90s). yay!
